There is scarcely a more classic way to begin a day in Vienna than with breakfast in a coffee house. Almost all coffee houses offer breakfast, from the classic Viennese version with rolls through to more sophisticated creations.

Brunch at the weekend

The Gerstner Café-Restaurant offers brunch in the magnificent rooms of Palais Todesco every Sunday from 11.00 am to 2.00 pm. All sorts of delicacies are served with a view of the Vienna State Opera. A breakfast as in the days of the emperor awaits visitors at the Sisi buffet in Café Gloriette at Schönbrunn Palace (Su 9.00 am - 11.30 am).

For another delicious weekend brunch recommendation, consider Sneak-In. On Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., a large variety of dishes are available.
