The 15 best shopping and stores in Yosemite National Park (2024)

The Evergreen Lodge at Yosemite offers charming vintage-to-upscale cabins in the heart of Yosemite National Park. It also features a restaurant and theater, making it a great place to stay if you're exploring the park.

This place is purely AMAZING!!We checked in with Tiara and she REALLY set the tone for our amazing experience. The property is beautiful and I felt like I was at a luxurious camp! It's a 15 minute drive from the main road and I loved how deep in the woods it was. The cabins are spacious and clean and I especially loved that the windows/balcony was facing the trees. I also loved the cast iron gas fireplace & view of the woods in front of the bed instead of the typical TV. Overall there were no electronics and SO many games & activities on property! Food and drinks at the Tavern are DELICIOUS (foodie-approved) and you can take your drinks outside of the restaurant and walk around the property/ go back to your cabin. You can also add it all to your room tab which is super convenient. The hot tub/pool area was great too, especially being in the hot tub at night and stargazing from there. This place is definitely family-friendly so couples beware. There are lots of young kids!Initially I was looking at Evergreen's sister property, Rush Creek, and through that site I saw the link to this property. I'm so happy I chose this one because I did lunch at Rush just to check it out and it's a lot newer and little more pretentious. Staff weren't nice at all compared to the 5-star resort quality service you get from every single person at Evergreen. Can't wait to come back & stay even longer!

We had a lovely stay at Evergreen Lodge. We had to move accommodations last minute due to weather and they were very accommodating. The ‘cabin’ rooms were super cozy with rustic decor. The resort is located in a beautiful location and offers fantastic views! The food at the tavern was delicious too! We will definitely visit again!

STAY AWAY! Whoever was attending the check-in/front desk was hostile, unfriendly and overall not helpful. The custom camping experience was overpriced. The moment you walk in the tent is completely covered in dirt and there was a period pad wrap (see photo attached) in the tent meaning they do not clean between campers. There was a wedding going on and they placed us at the tent nearest the wedding event (no more than 10 feet away). Music was blaring until very late and I had an infant with me that could not sleep from the loud music... They could have warned us they had a wedding going on and that we would be hearing loud music and people ALL night.. we would have never booked with them had we known. There were raccoons running all over the campsite because there is trash all over the campground. Lastly, we went to swim in the pool the following morning and there was puke all over the chairs surrounded by the pool that looks like it's been there for days...(see pic attached). It was so disgusting. I will never stay here again or recommend this place to anyone.

Very nice place to stay & eat. We stayed 5 nights and wound up eating dinner there every night. Not many other options. The meals were very good! It is about 45 beautiful minutes from the valley. I was happy it was that far away. Very crowded & busy in the valley. Hiking in Yosemite was awesome as well. Too many pics. There are many activities for the entire family as well.Staff was very attentive, helpful, and always friendly. Would definitely stay there again.

My husband & I stayed at the Evergreen Lodge for two nights. The entire property is beautiful and the staff is awesome. Perfect spot for a couples, family, or friends getaway. Hot tub was perfect, but the pool was a bit chilly. Great sunset deck & stargazing, as well as, a great experience to visit Yosemite through a guided tour booked through the lodge. 10/10 recommend!

Fantastic from the moment we got to the resort. The stay is so quiet and peaceful, yet incredibly modern and professionally developed. Time is "slower" so you can simply unwind and enjoy nature. We spent New Year's Eve at the resort and loved it. They really take care to provide a first class stay. The staff was friendly, kind, and went out of their way to be sure that everything was perfect. Michael and everyone at the front desk made us laugh and feel welcomed from start to finish. Samantha and Mark at the Tavern made us feel like family. Andrew, Malcolm, and Sylvia made the dining experience so much fun. The BEST part of the stay was that I always eat black eyed peas and cornbread for luck on New Year's Day and the chef made sure that I did not have to skip this very special tradition. I didn't get your name, but you SAVED my year!! Thank you for the good luck :) The grounds were meticulous and the room was spotless (thank you Jenna). Everyone went out of their way to ensure a bespoke experience from start to finish. Thank you to everyone at Evergreen Lodge. We will be back!!

This was my 3rd visit to the lodge, but the first in snow. It was more magical than I remembered. The staff is always warm and welcoming and they have a way of making you feel right at home. Our porch and drive were shoveled several times and a friendly visit to make sure we had all the cups and towels, etc. that we needed to make our stay enjoyable. The rooms are spacious with a nice coffee service and small refridgerator. Bathrooms stocked with hair dryer, towels, and the most yummy smelling shampoo, etc. Heaters and heavy blankets kept us very cozy and the beds were comfy. We stayed in a two bedroom cabin and it felt very spacious. The grounds are beautiful, with helpful well marked paths that lead to a lounge area and a game room. The pool and spa are very large and the bathrooms are warm like a sauna. Well stocked Gift Shop with yummy breakfast burritos and everything you might need. The Tavern is friendly and the dinner staff at the restaurant went out of her way to make sure we were happy with our meals. Nice menu and creative drinks keeping theme with the woodsy lodge atmosphere. Logs kept on the fire and service prompt and meals beautiful. We can't wait to return. Such fond and special memories made at the beautiful Evergreen Lodge. The location was very close to the Yosemite Park entrance as well.

Wonderful place to come back after a day of hiking. The only downside is the distance fromYosemite valley. But , if you don’t get lodging within, this is great! And the food in the restaurant was really good, not cheap but good. There are no other options nearby if you stay here. Go for the aioli! Just amazing! The pool is really good. Everything was really nice and the s’mores were a good touch!

My husband and I went on our honeymoon to Yosemite National Park recently and stayed at the Evergreen Lodge. We could not have asked for a better experience! I would highly recommend staying at Evergreen Lodge!

We had an amazing time at Evergreen Lodge perfectly located near Yosemite. This lodge has everything you could ask for plus stuff that you couldn’t even imagine. It really did blow my mind away. We stayed in Yosemite for five days four nights and we were so impressed that we decided that one day we just stay and enjoy all the amenities at Evergreen had to offer. all the meals at the restaurant and summer barbecue were delicious. We traveled with my wife and a four and a two year old. the place is super family friendly but also great for couples who want to relax. I’ve traveled to over 40 countries and stayed at some of the most elegant places and I got to say Evergreen is now my new favorite location. And the staff is extremely friendly.

Yesterday, on December 30th, 2023, my friends and I had the pleasure of dining at the Evergreen Lodge at Yosemite. This visit was a long-awaited one, as I have always been curious about the lodge's dining experience. Our expectations were not only met but exceeded in every way.We arrived a bit early, about half an hour before the kitchen opened, which gave us a perfect opportunity to enjoy some time at the tavern. The atmosphere was inviting, and the selection of beers and whiskeys was great. Our bartender, Mark, was the epitome of hospitality. His warm welcome and friendly chats added a special touch to our experience.Heeding Mark's advice, we chose to dine at a table in the tavern instead of the restaurant, which proved to be a fantastic decision. The tavern had a cozy and lively ambiance that perfectly complemented our evening. When it came to the meal, we all opted for different versions of their hamburgers with fries, along with a few drinks and an appetizer. The burgers were a culinary delight, cooked exactly to our preferences. It's not an exaggeration to say these were some of the best burgers we've had in a long time.I also want to extend my thanks to Samantha, who contributed greatly to making our visit memorable. Her service was impeccable, and her attention to detail did not go unnoticed. In summary, our experience at the Evergreen Lodge was nothing short of remarkable. The combination of excellent service, delicious food, and a warm atmosphere makes this place a must-visit. We are already looking forward to our next visit!

This place is excellent and underrated.Everyone is wonderfully cheerful and accommodating. The environmenthas also been very very relaxing. The rooms are crisp and clean. The rooms have a modern rustic industrial but beautiful & functional cabin design. The bathrooms were spacious , clean and the hot water was consistent which is a huge thing for accommodation in remote places. I most definitely appreciated the most that there was a kettle available in our room as most places I stay at in the states require me to be a master at coffee pot tea making. The food at the restaurant was delicious and exquisitely presented. We ate dinner and lunch. I wish we were staying longer and I will definitely be back.I think this place should be 4 star.Their location is also wonderfully close to two Yosemite National Park entrances.

We had a fantastic time! Thank you to all the staff, everyone was friendly and helpful. Our family of 4 stayed in 2 bedroom cabin. It was perfect and comfortable. Towels and toiletries provided are all good quality. We had breakfast, lunch and dinner here everyday and it was all delicious. We had our breakfast to go and ate in our cabin. They also have a lot of snacks and packed lunch in the general store. Remember to book dinner if you can as it can get full.We also rented a Tesla and were worried about charging but they have 2 spots reserved for charging and it was perfect. Gave us enough charge to drive around Yosemite for 4 days and back to SFO.(Our trip was April 2022)

From the very start you could see that this place contains a lot of history, from its rustic game rooms to the actual cabin-like hotel rooms, it was exciting to explore and experience such a great heritage that this hotel offers.Unfortunately, the pool and jacuzzi were closed, a part of the hotel which my family and I really wanted to enjoy, especially as the weather was cold. The hotel didn’t warn us about this.Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We just stopped in to buy postcards. My wife filled out the cards and the front desk took them for delivery. The gal at the general store was really nice and helpful. The front desk guy too. They rent cabins and tents. It's a great setting and looks like a fun place to stay. Bar and grill located on the premises too.

We ate at restaurant after a long hike. Good food, family friendly and helpful staff. My boys loved their chicken taco appetizer and I got their grains and greens salad. We stopped at their general store and it had a lot of fun and practical items. A very clean store and it has a coffee shop. We didn't stay at Lodge but based on what I saw, I wouldn't hesitate to book a room

Had a wonderful stay at Evergreen Lodge. Had a great cabin with perfect views of the sunset. Bed was very comfortable which is a must for me. Would highly recommend a stay here. Staff were great especially our guide Claire and Mark the bartender.

This lodge is deep in the woods and near a beautiful river. It is older than its sister but has its own charm. The sister site at Rush Creek is much more modern with fancy townhome style rooms. There are mostly cabin style accommodations at this location but the property is still absolutely gorgeous. We had a very nice server who is a cool rock climber. He was staying at the location mainly just to earn money so he could climb some more. It's always fun to talk to guys like that cuz they have fun stories to hear. Our dog joined us for dinner at the outside table and our server was kind enough to bring him a bowl of water. There was a wedding reception in the outdoor veranda area with a live band and it was a beautiful venue.Prices at this resort were understandably a little high. The food that arrived was tasty but did not necessarily justify the high price. The pricing was upper tier but the food quality and portions were at best mid-level.We did not stay at this location so this review will not include anything about the rooms. We just ate at the restaurant. It wouldn't be a stretch to say that we would enjoy coming back if the cost of the meals was a little more commiserate with the level of quality and size of portions.

We love this family-friendly hideaway on the quiet side of Yosemite! Great year-round saltwater pool and spa tub, lots of activities, and close to the Park for great hiking and other adventures. Staff are super, food is excellent, bar is quaint, and you can’t beat free s’mores fixings! Great place that we will continue to return to!

Our family of four stayed here for three nights. It was great. It's very close to multiple entrances to Yosemite. The cabin was clean and well maintained. The staff was kind and accommodating. The Wi-Fi was quite fast and robust. We were somewhat underwhelmed with the restaurant, but that was pretty much the only downside, if I'd even call it that.

This place is a gem!! The staff are wonderful and friendly. The grounds and environment are beautiful and peaceful. The restaurant had great selections and we loves smores time!! The rooms have a keurig, teapot and fridge - everything you need. You can also sign up for activities/tours to yosemite and such from there. Bike rentals and disc golf are on site and the general store has anything you may have forgot. I plan to return.

Everything about the Evergreen Lodge was wonderful! The cabins were clean and cozy. The restaurant is very good. The common room is comfortable with a huge fireplace (we were there in the cooler weather so that was nice).Every single one of the staff was friendly, helpful and made you feel welcome and at home. They were knowledgeable about the history of the lodge and the area. The Evergreen Lodge is located in a beautiful setting outside of Yosemite. It's a nice scenic drive to get to Yosemite, about 40 minutes.5 stars doesn't seem like enough; I'd give the Evergreen Lodge 10 stars if I could.

We stayed here because I wanted somewhere that had an outdoor hot tub in Winter. We got so much more...The lodge has been here for over 100 years, cabins were spic and span, cozy and comfortable. We booked the snowshoe hike to the Sequoias. My first time seeing the Sequoias, which were breathtaking. Our tour guide Tyler had so many facts and stories to share with us, he was great! My Mom had the Deep Tissue massage with Imari. She said it was *literally* the best massage she's ever had, and she's had quite a few. Love this property. Definitely want to stay here again!

We went there for the stargazing and the staff was so helpful! The guide for the stargazing made it a fun experience and the staff helped us with all the questions we had. We'll definitely be looking to book a stay here next time we are in the area.

We had a delightful overnight stay and a tour to see the firefall. Every single staff person was welcoming, kind, and went out of their way to make our stay memorable. Special shout out to Emily Guide extraordinaire, Sophia for being so thoughtful and helpful and to Tom for making it so easy. Highly recommend it for families, or couples. So much to see and do! We'll be back!
